What if I told you that kids didn’t have to sit inside a classroom to learn? Well, all over the world there is a revolutionary phenomenon taking shape; it is a phenomenon of true education and it is called unschooling.
If I had to pick one single episode of The Twilight Zone as an absolute favorite, it would be Time Enough at Last. This is the story of Henry Bemis, who loves books but is prevented from reading them due to the demands of his job and the protests of his wife and boss. However, when civilization comes to an end due to a nuclear explosion, Henry finds that he has survived and at last he has all the time in the world for his passion of reading. He finds a library full of books and as for the rest of the plot, I won’t spoil it for you. Let’s just say the ending is the best part.
I was never a huge fan of politics for the simple reason that along with religion, it is one of those topics that just gets people fired up and hostile. Nevertheless, when the offer came up for me to take part in a new political talk radio show at my university, it was hard to say no. Not everyday are we given the opportunity to share our thoughts and opinions to a large audience, live on the air.
